Former Rep.Marjorie Taylor Greenefired back at PresidentDonald Trumpover hislatest “low IQ” attackonCandace Owens, accusing the commander in chief of “hating women he can’t control.”
The backlash followed Friday after Trump shared a doctoredTimemagazine cover onTruth Social, labeling Owens, a conspiracy-minded conservative, the “Vile Person of the Year,” while calling her attack on France’s first lady “despicable” and adding, “I believe, in this case, without verification, she is an extremely low IQ individual.”
Hours later, Greene, whoresigned from Congressin January after afalling outwith Trump, addressed the poston X, writing, “President Trump hates women he can’t control, who don’t worship him, women who actually worship God, and are much more intelligent than he is. Women like @RealCandaceO.”
Greene accused him of echoing far-right activistLaura Loomer’s influenceand criticized him for targeting Owens and political commentatorMegyn Kellywhilerefusing to supportvictims of convicted sex offenderJeffrey Epsteinand labeling allies who do as traitors.
The remarks come amid a pattern in which Trump has recently attacked prominent conservative figures - many of themwomen- who have broken with him, including repeatedly calling critics like Kelly and Owens “low IQ,” “nut jobs” and “losers” on Truth Social.
“Also the only people in his cabinet that he’s either fired or privately told to leave are women, Christi (sic) Noem, Pam Bondi, and Lori Chavez DeReemer,” Greene added. “He appointed Elise Stefanik as ambassador of the UN then took it away without a care even after all she did to support him just because Johnson told him too.”

“No matter what you think about any of us women as we are all different from each other, whether you like us or not, one thing is incredibly clear, Trump hates women,” Greene continued. “And posts like this one is going to turn the majority of women in America against him.”
Like Owens and Greene, Kelly, once an ally who endorsed Trump in 2024, has since become a vocal critic, particularly over his handling of the 2026 Iran conflict, prompting Trump to publicly question her alignment with the MAGA movement.
While some of his most personal attacks have targeted female commentators, Trump has also gone after other prominent MAGA-aligned figures like conservative political commentatorTucker Carlsonand far-right conspiracy theoristAlex Jones.
Earlier this month, Trump escalated the conflict by blasting Carlson, Kelly, Owens and Jones ina single Truth Social postamid growing criticism of his Iran policy, including calls from Owens and Jones for his removal from office.
“They have one thing in common, Low IQs,” Trump said of the four media figures. “They’re stupid people, they know it, their families know it, and everyone else knows it, too!”
