Ole Miss football, Pete Golding land commitment from Crews Jenkins, 2027 QB

Brentwood Academy quarterbackCrews Jenkinshas committed to Pete Golding andOle Miss football, he confirmed to The Tennessean on May 6.

Jenkins, a 5-foot-11, 180-pound junior, also had offers from Florida Atlantic, Memphis, South Florida, Tulsa and UAB, among others.

Jenkins completed 137-of-205 passes (66.8%) for 1,817 yards, 22 touchdowns and eight interceptions while helping lead Brentwood Academy to an 11-1 record and an appearance in the TSSAA football state championship game in Division II-AAA. He also rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown.

He was 6-of-17 passing for 40 yards and two interceptions in a 28-24 loss to Baylor in the state final, which was played in downpour conditions in Chattanooga.

Jenkins is Brentwood Academy’s second SEC quarterback commitment in three years. George MacIntyre committed to Tennessee in 2024 and is a redshirt freshman with the Volunteers.

Brentwood Academy coach Paul Wadetold The Tennessean last fallthat he held a QB competition between MacIntyre and Jenkins in 2024. Jenkins was closer in the race than some might have thought. MacIntyre was a five-star prospect at the time, and Wade said MacIntyre's playing experience was a deciding factor for naming him the starter.

Jenkins isOle Miss' fourth commitment and first quarterback commit from the 2027 class.

He'll be joined by a talented cast at BA this fall, which includes Tennessee football commitment and wide receiver,Kesean Bowman.
